AWS re/Start
AWS re/Start is a cohort-based workforce development training program that prepares individuals for careers in the cloud and connects them to potential employers. A technology background is not required to apply. The program is free to the learner and focused on helping unemployed or underemployed individuals launching a new career. AWS re/Start’s collaborating organizations support underrepresented groups, minorities, displaced individuals, young people, and more.
Through coursework and hands-on labs, using real world scenarios, learners can gain the technical skills they need for entry to mid-level cloud roles. AWS re/Start also provides learners with professional skills training like resume and interview coaching to prepare them for employer meetings and job interviews.
About the curriculum
AWS re/Start curriculum is adapted to meet learners where they are in their learning journey, desired objectives, and learning modalities. Through scenario-based exercises, instructor-led sessions, learners build Linux, Python, networking, security, database, automation, and core AWS Cloud skills.AWS re/Start is a free, 12-week, full time skills development program that prepares unemployed or underemployed individuals for entry-level careers in the cloud. AWS re/Start is collaborating with Skills Dynamix, an industry-leading technical training company that delivers the most relevant and intuitive computer courses and certifications for more than 17 years with multi-vendor experience. Skills Dynamix will support learners throughout the AWS re/Start program and help them launch careers in cloud computing. Together, AWS re/Start and Skills Dynamix are excited to help individuals develop in-demand cloud skills and prepare for jobs in and around their local communities.

Each cohort of learners, supported by professional mentors and accredited trainers, completes the training featuring scenario-based learning, hands-on labs, and coursework. AWS re/Start provides learners with resume and interview coaching as they prepare for interviews and meetings with potential employers.

The program’s mission is to help unemployed and underemployed individuals who might not otherwise have access to technical education develop the skills they need to pursue entry-level cloud roles. Skills Dynamix helps learners gain job-specific skills, connect with employers, and embark on their cloud careers.

Skills Dynamix is working with AWS in Alexandria, Mansoura and Egypt to offer the AWS re/Start program virtually, in-person, and/or blended in-person and virtual. AWS re/Start prepares learners for entry-level cloud roles, such as cloud operations, site reliability, infrastructure support, and technical adjacent business support functions.

Skills Dynamix will connect learners with potential employers. Learners who do not receive a job placement following the conclusion of their cohort will receive feedback on growth areas to prepare them for future success.
